Former head of algae group dies

Rosenthal Mary Rosenthal, 56, former executive director of the Algae Biomass Organization, died of cancer Nov. 1 in Minneapolis. She had cancer. Rosenthal joined ABO in 2009 as its first top executive. She stepped down in January 2014 after the association decided to relocate its headquarters from Preston, Minn., to Washington, D.C.
